Kristi has been blogging since 2009, primarily as a lifestyle blogger sharing ways to help busy moms manage their daily lives easier. After a year of feeling like her creativity was missing from her life, she decided there needed to be a change.

As a result, Homemade Texan was born. Homemade Texan may be new, but the creativity that flows effortlessly through this site is astonishing. Born and raised in Texas by hard working creative parents, Kristi truly has a knack for getting creative in her space.

Her DIY home decor designs and homemade southern recipes put a twist on the status quo of traditional design bringing out a flair of her rustic Texas roots.

Currently, Kristi lives in the country side with two teenage sons. She enjoys loud music in every genre, backroads on her Can-Am Spyder and anything that is positive and makes her laugh.

My Country Life

Since moving to the country, my love for the outdoors and cooking has increased by tremendously. That’s mostly due to the fact that getting to the store takes so much longer than it did when I was in the city. #Facts! Takeout was convenient in the city, but country living has put a lot of things into perspective for me. Waking up to the sound of my neighbor’s cows and walking out to enjoy a cup of coffee in the yard with a crisp cool breeze just makes you realize that life is full of endless possibilities and you should never take a moment for granted.
