This broccoli slaw salad recipe is a family favorite at our house. When the “not so little” people that I live with hear I am making this slaw salad recipe, they go crazy! I mean, it’s food so they totally get excited about that…obviously! They are growing boys!
But this one is packed full of the delicious goodness that broccoli has to offer and they still gobble it up. It makes me feel like I’ve done something right in this whole parenting gig I signed up for 16 years ago. 🙂

Broccoli Salad Recipe with Bacon Jam
Recipe Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups broccoli florets (uncooked)
- 1/2 small red onion
- 3/4 cups cheddar cheese
- 1 package real bacon pieces
Dressing for Broccoli Slaw
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons bacon jam (this bacon jam recipe is really good)
How to Make Bacon Jam Broccoli Salad
- Chop broccoli florets into bite-size pieces.
- Dice red onion and shred cheddar cheese.
- Toss broccoli, red onion, and bacon bits together into a medium mixing bowl.
- Mix mayonnaise and bacon jam into a small bowl.
- Add mayonnaise and bacon jam mixture to the broccoli mixture.
- Lastly, stir in cheddar cheese and chill for at least 20 minutes.
